RAMÓN G. VIADA III

Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Ray is long-time resident of the greater Houston area.  After graduating from Westbury High School, Ray attended the University of Houston on a track scholarship, where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in History.  Ray then worked as a track coach and history teacher in Texas public schools.

Ray returned to the University of Houston to attend law school where he distinguished himself as a legal writer, serving as an editor on the Houston Law Review. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree (magna cum laude) in 1987.  During his final year of law school, Ray served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Norman W. Black, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  

Ray was admitted to the Texas State Bar in May of 1988.
  He is licensed to practice in Texas, as well as in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.  In his first year of practice, Ray served as a law clerk for the Honorable Jerry E. Smith, Judge of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Since that time, Ray has worked for nearly three decades as a civil litigator on the trial and appellate court levels.


A certified specialist in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Ray has handled over 120 appeals in the Texas and federal appeals courts.
  He has presented successful appellate arguments in landmark cases addressing issues of employment law, sovereign immunity, public official immunity, and constitutional rights.  Ray is an adjunct professor of law at the UH Law Center, teaching federal administrative law and federal courts. He is frequently invited to speak on various topics at continuing legal education seminars hosted by the Texas State Bar.

STEFANIE STRAYER

Stefanie is a long-time resident of the greater Houston area.  After graduating from Stratford High School in West Houston, Stefanie attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and graduated in 1993 with a major in History.    Stefanie received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree, with high honors, from St. Mary's University School of Law in 1999. 

Since that time, Stefanie has worked for over 15 years as a civil litigator on the trial and appellate levels, representing public and private employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings before the EEOC. Stefanie also has extensive experience representing local governmental entities and public officials in cases involving law enforcement, land use, personal injury, and employment discrimination.  

Stefanie was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1999.  She is licensed to practice law in Texas, as well as in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

JENNIFER HOLLOWAY

Jennifer is a native Houstonian. She has over 25 years of experience working in civil litigation. After graduating from Sam Houston Senior High School in Houston, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston, graduating summa cum laude. Her post-graduate studies have included Professional Writing and Technical Communication at the University of Houston. She is an active member of the State Bar of Texas --- Paralegal Division and Houston Paralegal Association.
